Strube Celery & Vegetable Co., the oldest federally licensed wholesale produce company in the Chicago area, was founded in 1913 by Bob’s grandfather, Fred Strube. Bob started at Strube in 1964, just out of college, and was the third generation to take a leadership position, a tradition that continues today with the fifth generation.
